RAB Retail Consultant Emma Hobbs is working within the property team for our client Costa Coffee. Emma is the acting Acquisitions Manager for the South East region for the brand for an interim period until the full-time position within their team is filled.

Prior to joining RAB Retail as a consultant in 2016, Emma spent 10 years as an Acquisitions Manager for Costa Coffee, securing sites in various formats throughout the south and south-east of England. Her extensive knowledge of their proposition and the market means Emma can hit the ground running working in Costa’s Property Team.

The global brand has a strong development pipeline for 2021 and beyond and is looking to expand its portfolio across the UK throughout the year, predominantly in the Drive-Thru sector. Emma will be managing the search for new opportunities for stores in various formats across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Essex and Berkshire. Commenting on her role, Emma said, “Costa continues to go from strength to strength and despite the difficulties for the wider industry over the past year they have exciting plans for the future. This is an area I know very well and I’m looking forward to working with some familiar faces across the region and securing some fantastic new sites in Costa’s 50th year.”

RAB Retail Director Richard Brown also has a long history of working for the brand having worked with the Costa Coffee Team for over 15 years. Richard is responsible for securing new sites for the brand in London within the M25. Commenting on the relationship he said, “We’re delighted to be able to support our client resourcing this role and assisting them as they roll out new and existing concept stores across the South East. Our business model of working with experienced consultants gives us the flexibility to provide both short-term and long-term assistance to retail and leisure clients and tailor our offering to their individual property functions’ needs.”
